Summary of the Apocalyptic Forecast

He found himself staring at an old cello like it owed him rent money. Desperate for any kind of change or maybe just a way to scrape by, he schleps it down to this club scene thinking, "Alright, gotta try something." You know how the story goes – sometimes you think desperation is funny, right? He thought he was taking his instrument (and maybe, just maybe, some hidden skills) for a job... but instead of the spotlight, it felt like they were tripping over their own feet trying to figure out what *he* was good for. It really looked like things might finally hit rock bottom.

Seriously, if fate ever decided to play fair, that moment probably wasn't the day she showed up. But then again, maybe Huai Shi thought he'd finally seen it all until something completely different and weirdly supernatural rolled in. He wanted a break from his usual bad luck story; just a normal gig would've been okay with him now, even if playing cello for tips felt like a guaranteed bust.
