Shu Pan thought Gu Shaoting was the one. She believed that the world’s most wonderful love had been bestowed upon her. However, she never anticipated that she was never truly loved and that their happy moments were nothing but a facade. When their three-year marriage fell apart, she fled, only to realize later the extent of Gu Shaoting’s lies and his desire for vengeance.

Four years later, their paths crossed again. Shu Pan had a mini version of herself—a daughter—while Gu Shaoting was in a relationship with a girlfriend, discussing marriage. The two of them had become like parallel lines, seemingly destined to remain apart.
