Summary
“The people here aren’t innocent. They’re sly, they’re selfish, they’re heartless.” The nobles, despite their titles, are the same: prideful, arrogant, and scheming. “At first, I was enraged by this. But now? I just feel sorry for them. In this dark world, they never had a choice. They were born into it and forced to live like this.” Now, with a sense of purpose, he declares, “I will give them a choice.”
In Civilization: Beyond Two Worlds, the transmigrator speaks, “I want to give them food to free them from hunger, so they can find morals. I want to bring them peace, so they can form beliefs. I’ve traveled from a distant world, and I’m here to bring the light of civilization to this dark and savage land. I know I’m on the right path.”
He’s determined. “I’ll eliminate hunger, end plagues, root out evil, and stop wars. I’ll give a second chance to anyone who seeks change.” His voice turns cold, “And as for those shameless, foolish souls, I’ll put an end to them.”
Kang De has crossed worlds and unexpectedly finds himself in a land filled with sorcerers, dragons, and even gods—beings only spoken of in legends. To survive, he must train and strengthen himself. But soon, he sees that danger doesn’t just come from those with mystical powers; it lurks within the greedy nobles and the ruthless king.
“What? Overthrow the nobles?” he asks, surprised. “I only wanted to help my people live better lives.” Yet as events unfold in Civilization: Beyond Two Worlds, Kang De watches as his own territory transforms into the mightiest kingdom on the continent. The Dragon Emperor calls him a brother, powerful sorcerers join his cause, and the people begin calling him king. Bewildered, he protests, “I don’t want to be a king!”
But the stage is set. Now, all that stands in his way are the gods, who see themselves as higher beings, looking down upon humanity. And Kang De knows he must confront them to bring true change to this world.
